MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installing and testing various types of industrial equipment;
  • Repairing and maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems;
  • Calibrating and maintaining circuitry of existing equipment;
  • Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams;
  • Maintain repair and maintenance logs and records;

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

PROFILE

Work as a team for the floor manufacturing and/or varnish sections in order to achieve manufacturing and quality objectives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stack the boards categorized by different species and grades;
  • Trim molded boards;
  • Stack and tie bundles of molded boards;
  • Fill the defects of the boards with putty;
  • Push boards into the varnishing line;
  • Push boards into the brush line;
  • Perform a general inspection on each board handled (eg: torn corners, cracks, lack of varnish, etc.);
  • Keep workstations clean and safe at all times;

Packager – Varnish Production

START DATE:  Immediately

DIRECT SUPERIOR:  Supervisor of Varnish Production

PROFILE

Work as a team on the varnish production line in order to package the flooring planks in boxes, in addition to making visual inspections of the planks to identify certain defects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Put the varnished boards directly into the boxes with styrofoam between each row;
  • Perform an overall inspection on each boxed board (eg: torn corners, cracks, lack of varnish, etc.);
  • Adjust the line output table and change the styrofoam;
  • Ensure that right boxes are used for the right orders, otherwise change the boxes;
  • Assemble the boxes for the finished product;
  • Reclassify boards;
  • Mark the ends of the boards with the Endmatcher with a felt-tip pen and take them to the packing tables;
  • Make sure you have a clean work environment, by picking up boards and styrofoam under tables;
  • Management of residual defects in boxes;
  • All other related tasks requested by the Supervisor.

Packager – Floor Production

PROFILE

Work on floor production by properly sorting the boards by different grades and stacking them in the hoist located at the workstation, in addition to making visual inspections on the boards to identify certain defects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Classify the unvarnished boards according to their grade directly in the freight elevator;
  • Set aside planks that can be repaired with putty;
  • Identify if certain boards need to be cut and put them on the appropriate conveyor;
  • Perform a global inspection on each board arriving by conveyor at the workstation (eg: torn corners, cracks, etc.);
  • Notify the Team Leader or Supervisor if there appears to be a lot of quality problems in the boards;
  • Reclassify boards;
  • Understand the different species and grades of wood;
  • Maintain a clean and safe workstation;
  • All other related tasks requested by the Supervisor.

Work as a team to move heavy loads and provide wood to all locations within the factory, while maintaining high level of respect for the security measures in place.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

  • Replacing or helping the lift-loader driver to provide wood to the edger;
  • Complete a wood bundle consumption report and give it to the operator at the end of the shift;
  • Remove packages from pilers and place them properly in the factory;
  • Provide the wood to the unraveler and make sure it never runs out;
  • Ensure that the work environment is clean and safe, by picking up slats and blocks lying around in the factory, warehouse and outside and other related tasks;
  • Assist, if necessary, people who need to carry a heavy load;
  • All other related tasks requested by the Supervisor.

PROFILE

Work as a team to move wood pallets and bring them to the required places, such as the finishing line, according to the production schedule, and the pallets produced to the warehouse, while maintaining respect for the safety measures in place .

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Loading and unloading wood pallets;
  • Replacing or helping the lift-loader driver to provide wood to the different work locations (ex. production line, warehouse, shipping, etc.);
  • Stack merchandise in the appropriate stocking areas in the warehouse, while following the intructions about inventory control;
  • Ensure that charges are well secured;
  • Stack empty wood pallets;
  • Perform daily equipment checks such as battery recharging and truck equipment lubrication;
  • Monitor machinery and ensure that its condition is clean and safe;
  • Ensure that the work environment is clean and safe, by picking up slats and blocks lying around in the factory, warehouse and outside and other related tasks;
  • Assist, if necessary, people who need to carry a heavy load;
  • All other related tasks requested by the Supervisor.
