What are the differences between engineered hardwood flooring and solid hardwood?

Some may believe that an engineered product is a type of laminate or an inexpensive product made overseas. Appalaches engineered flooring is true hardwood flooring with a Baltic birch plywood core. This core gives the product greater stability compared to traditional hardwood flooring and allows the production of longer and wider boards than is usually possible with conventional methods. Engineered products can also be installed in basements, over radiant-heated floors, and on concrete slabs—areas where traditional hardwood floors are not recommended.
